The City of Kiel is cleaning up after an intense and violent storm blew through the area last night.
The Kiel Police Department announced Thursday night (June 19th) that there were several trees and wires down and that city utilities were working on restoring power.
City Administrator Dave Funkhouser announced Friday morning (June 20th) that roadways are clear from debris but there were areas that still need extensive cleanup work to remove branches, which ended up on some rooftops.
Residents who picked up debris can place them on the terrace of their property and crews will come and pick them up.
Funkhouser also tells Seehafernews.com that power in the city was out for some time but has been restored to the city with great work from Kiel Electric Utilities.
However, some homes could still be without power.
No injuries were reported.
