The former Neenah police officer charged in a child pornography case has had his next court date scheduled.
22-year-old Owen Halls appeared in Outagamie County court earlier this month for his preliminary hearing after being charged with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography in March.
At that hearing, the court found probable cause in the case and had Halls bound over for an arraignment.
On Wednesday (June 18th), that arraignment was scheduled for July 10th at 2:30 p.m.
The 22-year-old former probationary police officer has been out on bond after posting the $20,000 cash in late March.
Halls was arrested earlier this year after subpoenas and search warrants were executed by the Kaukauna Police Department.
A School Resource Officer (SRO) with the Kaukauna Police Department received an Internet Crimes Against Children tip, which alleged that two files containing child sexual abuse material were uploaded online on June 10th, 2024.
This tip led authorities to Halls’ residence, where investigators confirmed that they had seen child sexual abuse materials on his online accounts, including a Telegram account, a popular messaging app.
