American Legion Post 477 is ready for one of its biggest fundraisers of the year.
All are invited out to Shadows Bar, located at 12215 Marken Road in School Hill for the 2025 iteration of Tractor Days.
The festivities kick off today (June 20th) and run through Saturday, with proceeds going back to the St. Nazianz-based Legion Post so they can continue to support local veterans.
Manitowoc County Commander and the Post Adjutant Nancy Schnell-Rivera was on the WCUB Breakfast Club, where she called the event a “major fundraiser” for the organization.
“So if it’s a scholarship, buying equipment for the color guards, doing something for community veterans and their families, that Friday and Saturday is what funds it for the whole entire year,” she explained.
The main event of day one is the check presentation for the annual Tee it Up Fore Troops Golf Outing, where the Post will present a check of over $50,000 to Old Glory Honor Flight at around 6:00 p.m., followed by a fireworks show.
Schell-Rivera also noted that it is a family-friendly event.
“Part of the vendor’s fair will be face painting,” she revealed. ” And right now I think we have like 12 different vendors coming out as well.”
The event is also highlighted by Saturday’s Parade of Tractors, which will begin at 12:15 p.m.
