The man accused of stealing a video doorbell from the Manitowoc Menards is free on bond.
31-year-old Nicklaus J. Copus was given a $1,500 recognizance bond by Court Commissioner Patricia Koppa on charges of Felony Bail Jumping and Retail Theft.
On June 13th, Copus was seen by the manager of the store going down the camera aisle, grabbing a video doorbell and several other items, and leaving without paying.
He fled on a motorcycle when confronted by the manager, but he was caught earlier this week by police.
As a part of his bond, Copus was ordered to have no contact with Menards or any of its premises.
He is due for his initial appearance on July 7th in Branch 2.
