A post office in Sheboygan County is set to be relocated.
The United States Postal Service (USPS) has issued a statement revealing that the Hingham Post Office, located at N2750 Main Street, will be relocated to W4228 Church Road in Waldo.
In April of last year, the USPS mailed out postcards to affected residents about the potential move, asking for community input.
Following internal discussions and considerations from residents, this comes as the final decision for the Hingham Post Office, confirming the move.
Potential safety concerns at the previous location have been cited as reasons to relocate, however, specifics on those dangers have been withheld.
The USPS has assured the public that they will continue providing the same services at the new Waldo location to the same residents they had previously served.
No date on when the relocation will begin or be completed has been provided.
