A Manitowoc man has been convicted of providing drugs that killed someone on the city’s southside.
Court documents show that 42-year-old Nathan Tollefson was found guilty do to a no contest plea on a charge of 1st-degree reckless homicide by delivering drugs.
Another count of manufacturing and delivering fentanyl was dismissed but read into the record.
Judge Anthony Lambrecht also ordered that the Department of Corrections complete a presentence investigation report before Tollefson is sentenced on August 8th.
Tollefson was arrested in September 2023 after an individual was found dead from a drug overdose, according to toxicology and autopsy reports from the Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Tollefson was then charged with supplying the drugs.
He had planned to go to trial this month before accepting the plea deal.
