COPS TV was on the scene during an arrest last week in Green Bay.
The Green Bay Police Department was alerted of a suspicious individual, 38-year-old John Alexander, at Bay Beach Amusement Park on Thursday (June 12th).
Initial reports told authorities that Alexander was making comments to park employees that made them uncomfortable and stoked fear.
Upon encountering the 38-year-old, police determined the need to place him in custody; however, he would resist officers, and a use of force was needed to place him under arrest.
Videos of the incident had emerged online via social media, which has led the Green Bay Police Department to address the situation and explain why the use of force was needed, given the situation.
The videos show officers taking Alexander to the ground and placing him in handcuffs as he was unwilling to comply.
The videos taken also show a camera crew with police capturing the events, which have been confirmed to be individuals shooting footage for COPS TV.
After the incident was over, Alexander was charged by the Brown County District Attorney’s Office with Resisting an Officer and Disorderly Conduct.
