A Sheboygan County vacation spot is being honored by USA Today.
In the publication’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, Elkhart Lake was named the #2 Best Lake in the Country and the #1 lake in the Midwest.
The home of the Osthoff Resort and Road America has been a not-so-well-kept secret locally, but now, with the ever-growing popularity of the two tourist destinations, the entire nation is seeing what Eastern Wisconsin has to offer.
John Steffes, the General Manager of The Osthoff Resort and Spa, agreed, saying, “This accolade puts historical Elkhart Lake on the national stage, and we’re proud to be at the heart of it—with our versatile offerings for groups, leisure travelers, and wellness seekers.”
Elkhart Lake’s recognition is in large part due to the stewardship of organizations like the Elkhart Lake Improvement Association (ELIA), whose ongoing preservation efforts ensure the lake remains one of the cleanest and most cherished in the country.
Through sustainable initiatives and community care, the lake continues to offer a one-of-a-kind experience for generations to come.
