The Valders Choral Program is a finalist for a major grant.
The local choir is participating in the Music Matters Challenge through the Let Music Fill My World Organization to win $25,000.
The money would be used to replace outdated and unsafe rehearsal and performance equipment. The only way to get the funding is by voting online.
The organization wants to ensure every child in America has access to music education.
Anyone interested in helping Valders can vote once a day through June 20th, and it doesn’t require an account.
More information about the contest can be found at letmusicfillmyworld.com/school-submission.
The four other schools come from Florida, Massachusetts, and Utah.
