It will be a busy start to the week, as there are four meetings today (June 16th) in the City of Manitowoc.
The Manitowoc Public Utilities Personnel Committee will gather in the MPU offices on South 8h Street, followed immediately by the MPU Commission.
Then, at 5:30 p.m., the Finance Committee will gather in the Council Chambers, where they will give the public time to comment.
They will then enter a closed session, where they will review a pair of rejected two-year operator’s license applications.
Closing out the day will be the Common Council, which will take over the chambers at 6:30 p.m.
After administering the oaths of officer for Police Officer Logan Gilbert, Assistant Chief of Police John Musial, and Fire Lieutenant Thomas Christensen, the council will discuss purchasing land on Sylvan Drive for the purpose of creating a park.
That property is located just off of County Road R, just south of the Covered Wagon Restaurant.
