Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul has joined counterparts from 21 states in opposing the federal government’s deployment of National Guard troops in California amid immigration-related protests.
The group filed a legal brief supporting California’s position that the deployment represents an illegal federal intervention.
A federal judge issued a temporary halt to the move, though the Trump administration has announced plans to appeal the ruling.
