A Two Rivers Police K9 did his part to apprehend a suspect after a high-speed chase.
Seargeant Jacob Schweigl and K9 Xanti were deployed to assist in locating the suspect who fled on foot after dumping a motorcycle near the 11000 block of Cooperstown Road.
Xanti led a track into a wooded area where the suspect’s motorcycle mask was found half a mile in.
The track continued through dense terrain and reemerged on Cooperstown Road.
During the search, the Wisconsin State Patrol found the suspect, who agreed to surrender.
He was taken into custody about 150 yards north of Cooperstown Road near the final track location identified by Xanti.
The Two Rivers Police Department says the outcome highlights the strong coordination among agencies and the exceptional work of Sargeant Schweigl and Xanti.
The pursuit spans Ozaukee, Sheboygan, and Manitowoc Counties.
