The Mishicot softball team will be playing for a state title tomorrow.
The Indians took down Mineral Point 5-0 yesterday on Goodman Diamond in Madison, thanks to more dominant pitching from Kiran Sanford.
While she did allow seven hits, none of them resulted in any damage on the scoreboard, and she made up for it by striking out 11 batters over her full-game effort.
At the plate, Kasey Brouchoud made the most of her at-bats, scattering three hits and driving in four runs, including a three-run bomb in the 5th inning.
The final run came off the bat of Nevaeh Malchek. In total, Mishicot tallied nine hits in the win and will now take on Pacelli Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with a state title on the line.
Pacelli pushed past Mc Donell Central Catholic 3-0, with pitcher Payton Manci hurling a near-perfect game.
She struck out 14 batters, with the only blemish being a single walk.
