A man who admitted to sexually assaulting a UW-Madison student in 2023 has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Brandon Thompson pleaded guilty last year to charges of sexual assault and reckless injury.
The assault occurred near the victim’s residence and was described by law enforcement as deeply disturbing.
During sentencing, Thompson expressed remorse and requested help and a future chance at rehabilitation.
