A woman charged with slashing a person while trying to take license plates off cars in Manitowoc had her plea date moved.
The attorney representing 48-year-old Blanca Perez-Hernandez said this morning (June 12th) that she has not gotten an offer from the state and requested a new one.
After some scheduling conflicts, Judge Gary Bendix set a new plea date for July 1st.
Manitowoc Police were called in January this year to a report of multiple stabbings and arrested Perez-Hernandez.
She claimed that “Santa Muerte, or the “Saint of Death,” and that he gifted her all the cars in the trailer park and all the cars in the world, which is why she was taking the license plates.
Authorities say video surveillance showed the Manitowoc woman brandishing a large kitchen knife which she used to slash an individual and attempted to stab another.
Perez-Hernandez faces two charges of 1st-degree recklessly endangering safety with use of a dangerous weapon.
A criminal complaint also says her family tried to get her help for an undisclosed medical condition.
