Madison Elementary School in Manitowoc is the latest school to announce a new principal.
Stephanie Korte will take over the job after spending 20 years working in the Two Rivers Public School District. She joined the Manitowoc Public School District in 2022.
Korte began her career in 2002 as a 4th-grade teacher in Two Rivers for two years before teaching 2nd grade there for 13 years.
She then became a Special Education teacher and Dean of Students, and in her final two years at Two Rivers, she also served as the Summer School Principal.
Korte became a math coach at Franklin Elementary and then served as a 2nd-grade teacher and Assessment Coordinator.
She will take over for Jennifer Eichmeier after two years.
In her time, Eichmeier had Franklin in the “Exceeding Expectations” category on the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) state report card.
