A woman from Hortonville has been charged after being involved in an Outagamie County car accident that resulted in death.
Court records show that 78-year-old Rosalie M. Polsin has been charged with Homicide by Negligent Operation of a Vehicle for the incident that occurred in November of last year.
Polsin was in court on Tuesday (June 10th) for her initial appearance seven months after the accident and was given a $100,000 signature bond.
As we previously reported, authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash that occurred in the southbound lane of Interstate 41 in the Town of Grand Chute.
Preliminary investigations showed that a sedan driven by 27-year-old Austin Luehring of Neenah was traveling on the highway when he was struck head on by the 78-year-old’s SUV, which was traveling the wrong way.
Luehring would be pronounced dead on the scene as a result of the crash, while Polsin would be transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Polsin will not be back in court in Outagamie County until August 29th for her preliminary hearing.
