State leaders in Wisconsin are cautioning against proposed Medicaid reforms included in President Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill.”
Bill Hanna, the state’s Medicaid Director, said the legislation would disqualify approximately 63,000 current enrollees due to new work requirements passed by the House.
Hanna also noted that implementing the changes would cost Wisconsin taxpayers an estimated $8 million in the first year alone.
Senate Republicans are attempting to pass the bill ahead of a self-imposed July 4 deadline.
