It was a roller-coaster of a day at Oakfield Village Park in the WIAA Division 4 Sectional Tournament.
The Reedsville Panthers baseball team couldn’t hold onto a lead and fell in state sectionals 8-2 to Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah yesterday (June 10th).
Reedsville started hot in the bottom of the 1st inning with a Ben Prochnow triple before Lucas Lodel drove him in on a fly out to center for an RBI.
The Resorters also plated a run in the 1st to have the game tied at 1-1.
The Panthers took a 2-1 lead in the 4th inning when Sawyer Ubersox hit a line drive to left for a double.
He was brought home by Jack Schwahn when he hit a single because the shortstop of Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah committed an error.
However, the Resorters would score three runs in the sixth and four more runs in the seventh inning to claim the game.
The Panthers season comes to an end at 17-8 overall.
Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah’s season came to an end not long after that when they got slammed by Johnson Creek 9-1 in the sectional final.
The Resorters finish at 15-8 overall.
