The Village of Hilbert is dealing with a case of vandalism.
The municipality posted on its official Facebook page yesterday (June 9th), stating that over the weekend, parkgoers observed vandalism on playground equipment at Hilbert Civic Park.
Village officials say that a permanent marker was used to draw inappropriate pictures and profanity throughout the park, and the Public Works Department is doing what it can in an attempt to remove it.
In their statement, officials added, “The people responsible will be held accountable for the damage once reported. We appreciate everyone’s help on this matter because it not only hurts the village financially, but it’s just plain wrong.”
Anyone with knowledge of the vandalism at Civic Park is asked to contact the Village of Hilbert Clerk’s Office at 920-853-3241.
