The former Valders school bus driver charged in a child pornography case has appeared in court.
39-year-old Justin J Zipperer made his initial appearance inside a Manitowoc County courtroom yesterday (June 9th) as he faces 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
At yesterday’s hearing, Zipperer and his legal counsel waived the reading of the criminal complaint and have demanded a preliminary hearing in the case.
The 39-year-old was arrested following a thorough investigation by the Manitowoc Police Department, which was tipped off by the Department of Criminal Investigation and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Zipperer is accused of using a popular online data storage site named Dropbox to house child sexual assault material, which was said to contain 21 such videos.
At this time, Zipperer is out on bond and will be back in court for his preliminary hearing on July 24th.
Through the investigation, police learned that Zipperer is a school bus driver in the Valders School District and are now asking any potential victims or those with knowledge of his actions to step forward by contacting Detective Jason Denk at 920-686-6557 or Crime Stoppers at 920-683-4466 to remain anonymous.
