An E-Waste Recycling Event is scheduled for today (June 10th) in Two Rivers.
Residents can drop off their items at 1415 Lake Street from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., across from the McDonald’s off Memorial Drive.
While some items will be collected for free, such as mini-Christmas lights and rechargeable batteries, other items, including incandescent lights, alkaline batteries, and TVs larger than 30 inches, will incur a cost to recycle.
The e-waste drop-off site will not accept items like A/C Units, microwaves, or computers.
Two Rivers Utilities explains that proper recycling prevents toxic heavy metals and other hazardous waste from harming lakes and rivers.
More information about the e-waste recycling event can be found on the city utilities page at two-rivers.org.
