The group leading the charge to bring changes to Evergreen Park in Sheboygan will hold an informational meeting next week.
Sheboygan County Cycling (SCC) announced that they will host their fourth such meeting on June 17th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Rocca Room at the Mead Public Library.
The meeting will allow the group, along with a professional trail designer, to provide greater comprehension of the concept plan proposed to the City.
Additionally, SCC President Nathaniel Darling tells SeehaferNews.com that at next week’s meeting, the group and those in attendance will discuss a revised concept plan for the park, however, at this time it is uncertain what changes have been made.
SCC looks to provide a streamlined trail system at Evergreen Park with a likely net reduction in the number of trails which will be better suited and maintained to ensure their longevity.
While the topic has received considerable support both for and against it, the vast majority of park users agree that improvements are a major need at one of the most used parks in all of Sheboygan County.
