A Manitowoc woman is facing charges after a physical altercation over the weekend.
An officer was on patrol in downtown Manitowoc at 2:30 Sunday morning (June 8th) when they saw a physical altercation in the intersection of Buffalo and North 9th Street.
The officer reported seeing a 28-year-old woman striking another individual on the ground with a closed fist.
As the lights and siren were activated on the squad car, the alleged attacker quickly fled into Shooter Malone’s.
She was quickly apprehended but resisted as the officer attempted to put handcuffs on her.
She also allegedly refused to sit in the back of the quad car and was said to have alcohol on her breath.
The woman also allegedly began yelling and screaming at officers as they did her paperwork before taking her to the Manitowoc County Jail on charges of Battery, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
