Nobody was injured during a shots fired incident in Fond du Lac over the weekend.
The Fond du Lac Police Department was dispatched to the Parish School Apartments on East Merrill Avenue just before 3:00 a.m. yesterday (June 8th) on numerous reports of gunshots heard.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered that both vehicles and residences in the area had been struck by the gunfire; however, no suspects were on the scene.
Authorities then made contact with all occupants of the hit homes and confirmed that nobody in the area was hurt.
Interviews were then conducted, and police are now in the process of obtaining video surveillance footage of the incident in hopes it may lead them to the suspect or suspects involved.
Regarding the incident, Fond du Lac Police Chief Aaron Goldstein said, “We will not tolerate reckless and dangerous criminal behavior that puts lives at risk. FDLPD will use every resource available to identify those responsible and ensure they are held fully accountable.”
The investigation into the shots fired incident remains ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Vance Henning at 920-322-3725
