The Kiel girls’ soccer team has yet to concede a goal in the postseason, as they cruised to a WIAA Division 3 Regional Championship over the weekend.
The Raiders hosted Luxemburg-Casco Saturday and rolled to a 5-0 win.
Coach Mike Pritchard noted his team “dominated the pitch with passing and creating goal scoring opportunities,” with Jasmine Bink crashing the net for the first goal, followed by two Taavi Seager goals.
The first was on a penalty kick and the second on a direct kick. Maddison Gutschow, who hadn’t scored all season, tickled the twine twice with a pair of, as Coach Pritchard described them, “long beautiful upper 90 goals.”
Mya Langenfeld and Liliana Berg combined to make three saves in net, securing the Raiders’ second straight postseason shutout.
Kiel now enters the Sectional Round, where they will host the #3 Seed, Winneconne, on Thursday.
The winner will face either undefeated Cedar Grove-Belgium or the team that snuck by Kiel for the EWC Championship, Sheboygan Falls.
