A portion of the Fox River State Trail will be closed this week as construction continues.
Brown County Parks has announced that the trail will be closed between Lazarre Avenue and the intersection of Riverside Drive and St. Joseph Street.
This closure began today (June 9th) at 7:00 a.m. and will continue until 3:00 p.m. Friday (June 13th).
During the closure, there will be no access through the area, and a contractor will have heavy machinery present as the work to replace a stormwater pipe in the Village of Allouez.
While only this portion of the trail will be closed, parks officials in Brown County ask trail users to respect crews as they work to improve the trail.
No marked detours will be provided during the closure, so those choosing to use the trail are also urged to exhibit caution if near the construction zone.
