The Holy Family Conservatory of Music is celebrating a major milestone this weekend.
The group is hosting a picnic “Reunion Day” on Sunday (June 8th) at the Franciscan Center on Calumet Avenue west of Manitowoc from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The event allows past and present students a chance to reunite with families and teachers to celebrate the founding of the Holy Family Conservatory 100 years later.
The picnic includes a recital, food, games, and art exhibits.
There will also be a ribbon cutting with the Chamber Manitowoc County at 2:00 p.m.
The picnic is part of a full year of celebrating 100 years for the conservatory, which was founded in December of 1925.
It’s sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity by fostering the beauty and power of music and the arts through instruction, appreciation of skills, encouragement, and performance.
