
The City of Two Rivers has a new city manager to replace the retiring Greg Buckley. The City Council announced yesterday the appointment of Kyle Kordell, who has been serving for the past 12 years in the village of Lake Zurich in suburban Lake County, Illinois. Buckley has announced he will retire as of August 8th after serving 30 years in the post.
Kordell is a native of southeast Michigan who has a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University and master’s degree from Northern Illinois University City Council President Scott Stechmesser said “We are looking forward to welcoming Kyle to our community, and the City Council is excited to collaborate with him. We believe his expertise will be invaluable in moving our city forward and building a better future for all the citizens of Two Rivers.”
Kordell said “I’m honored to serve as the next City Manager of Two Rivers. This community is built on a foundation of hard-working people and resilience – and I believe Two Rivers greatest moments are in front of it.”
