The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is inviting the public to enjoy some outdoor recreation this weekend.
The 13th annual Free Fun Weekend will take place tomorrow (June 7th) and Sunday (June 8th) across the entire state.
During the annual, weekend-long event, state park admissions, fishing licenses, and trail passes are waived for all visitors.
At all 50 state parks in Wisconsin, vehicle admission stickers will not be required.
Both residents and nonresidents will not be required to purchase a fishing license, however, all fishing regulations will still apply.
As for the state’s trails, all ATVs, UTVs, and OHMs will be exempt from registration requirements as well.
Steve Schmelzer, DNR Bureau Director of Parks and Recreation Management, said, “Whether it’s your 100th visit or your first visit, you are invited to explore the more than 120 properties across the state. If you like to hike, bike, camp, paddle, or even just enjoy a good book in a beautiful place, we hope you will join us for Free Fun Weekend.”
