Three bills penned by an Eastern Wisconsin State Senator have taken their first steps toward becoming law.
The bills written by Sen. Andre Jacque cleared their committee votes and now will go before the Assembly and Senate.
Senate Bill 186 aims to support local volunteer firefighters by reimbursing their education and training expenses, and passed with bipartisan support.
Senate Bill 37 would protect the “right of Wisconsin homeowners to grow their own food on their own property, free from unreasonable restrictions.”
Lastly, Assembly Bill 123 aims to ease pressure on family courts and avoid unnecessary confusion and contention, legislation clarifying the 100-mile child relocation standard as driving miles and codifying past precedent to eliminate redundant rulings.
