Sophomore Peter Knauf of The Roncalli/ Manitowoc Lutheran boys tennis team dropped a three-set marathon to Sawyer Korb in the opening round of The WIAA Division Two Boys State Individual Tennis Tournament in Madison Thursday night.
Korb, a sophomore from Edgewood Sacred Heart, defeated Knauf 7-6, 6-7, 12-10 to advance in the tournament.
Korb improves to 19 and 4, while Knauf finishes the season with a record of 13 and 6.
