The widow of iconic Manitowoc Lincoln football coach Ron Rubick has passed away.
Jo-Nell Rubick was 82 when she passed on under the care of Sharon S. Richardson Hospice.
Jo-Nell was preceded in death by her husband, who was 67 when he died in 2009.
Ron led the Ships to three straight state championships in the 1980s, all with Jo-Nell by his side.
Even after Ron’s death, Jo-Nell was an avid supporter of the Lincoln football program.
She has spoken with teams before games, and, as the Booster Club stated on Facebook, “Her presence, spirit, and support can’t be replicated.”
A celebration of life is tentatively scheduled for Friday, July 25th at Silver Creek Fieldhouse in Manitowoc.
Lakeshore Family Funeral Homes is assisting the family with funeral and burial arrangements.
