A street resurfacing project next to Neshotah Park will be getting underway after a delay.
City Manager Greg Buckley explained that resurfacing Pierce Street was supposed to happen in May but was briefly delayed because of a Wisconsin State Historical Society archeological study that was part of grant funding for the project.
Nothing significant came of the study.
The Pierce Street contractor, who will resurface the road, has moved in, and the road will be closed for the next two to three weeks between South 21st and Zlatnik Drive.
Department of Public Works crews will also continue to work on constructing the trail from Pierce Street to Zlatnik Drive past the concession stand.
The more than $100,000 project is part of over $700,000 invested by Two Rivers into Neshotah Park improvements.
