A theatre group from Sheboygan County has been awarded a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board.
The Sheboygan Theatre Company (STC) has received a Creative Communities Grant ahead of its 92nd season of producing local stage performances.
The money awarded to STC will be used to fund a comprehensive and interactive arts education workshop series that will begin with a kick-off week in July.
After the kick-off week, STC will hold monthly workshops throughout the calendar year.
The Creative Communities Grant program encourages art education, community art development, and cultural understanding in Wisconsin.
Grants offered through the program will range from $1,500 to a maximum of $6,000 with a required one-to-one match by STC.
While unreleased at the moment, the workshop themes will include performance techniques, behind-the-scenes crafts, and more.
STC has said that workshop titles, dates, and registration details will be released soon.
