Another road closure is underway in the City of Sheboygan.
The Sheboygan Department of Public Works has closed South 7th Street between Union Avenue and Mead Avenue for a construction project.
This project began yesterday morning (June 2nd) and will allow crews to perform concrete milling, storm sewer repairs, sidewalk ramp reconstruction, and asphalt paving of the new surface.
The two-block stretch of road will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the project, but it will remain accessible to local residents.
However, during milling and resurfacing work, full closures will be necessary, which will be released by the DPW at a later date.
At this time, an estimated completion date has not yet been determined.
All construction work and traffic impacts on South 7th Street are weather-dependent and subject to change.
