The Manitowoc Police Department is seeking assistance in locating a motorcyclist who fled.
A Manitowoc Police officer tried to get the white sports bike to pull over for an unreasonable and imprudent speed and illegible registration plates yesterday (June 2nd) evening just after 5:15 p.m.
The officer activated their emergency lights in the 2100 block of S. 23rd Street, with the biker stopping at S. 23rd and Dewey Street.
However, the motorcyclist then sped off from the officer at a high rate of speed, weaving in and out of traffic.
The officer deactivated their emergency lights and ended the traffic stop for the safety of citizens.
The motorcycle is a white and blue Honda sports bike, and the operator was wearing a black helmet, black jacket, black pants, and white high-top shoes.
