The City of Two Rivers isn’t announcing the man picked as the next city manager yet.
Council President Scott Stechmesser told the city council last night (June 2nd) that they are still working on some contract negotiations for the person who has been chosen but not publicly known.
The council talked about those details in a closed session. Current City Manager Greg Buckley says he expects a special meeting sometime this week for contract approval for the man taking over for him.
The four finalists, Scott Feldt, Nathan Thiel, Kyle Kornell, and Sam Demel, all appeared last Thursday (May 28th) to introduce themselves to the public as part of a meet and greet.
The next day they met with city staff before going through a final interview with most of the Two Rivers city council.
Buckley is retiring in August after serving almost 30 years as city manager.
He says he plans on staying in the community and might volunteer with different groups around town.
