A Dane County judge has ruled that 31-year-old Sierra Schoonover is mentally fit to stand trial in connection with the death of her mother, Heather Schoonover.
During a court appearance Monday, a not-guilty plea was entered on her behalf.
She faces a charge of first-degree intentional homicide with a dangerous weapon.
Heather Schoonover, 54, was found dead in her Blue Mounds home on April 14.
