Senator Tammy Baldwin continued her “Hands Off Medicaid” Tour with a stop in Superior this week.
During the stop, Sen. Baldwin spoke with her constituents on what she called “Republicans’ plan to slash Medicaid to pay for corporate tax breaks.”
Throughout the tour, Sen. Baldwin has made stops in Green Bay, La Crosse, Milwaukee, Wausau, Eau Claire, Racine, Waukesha, and twice in Madison.
She noted that at each stop, Wisconsinites shared their experiences, coming away with the message of “Working families don’t want their care ripped away so the wealthiest Americans can get richer.”
One analysis found nearly 230,000 Wisconsinites are at risk of losing their health care coverage in the plan that House Republicans voted to advance last week, including nearly 150,000 Wisconsinites on Medicaid.
