A portion of Memorial Drive is now open to through traffic again.
Two Rivers City Manager Greg Buckley explained on WOMT’s Be My Guest program that there is one lane open going north because crews are still working on paving some of the main thoroughfares.
Buckley also said that while he was critical of the early communication about the project, he gives a lot of credit for the work done before the peak of the summer travel season.
However, the project isn’t done yet, as construction crews are still removing and replacing guardrails along the road.
The Memorial Drive project is expected to be done by the end of June.
The detour from County Highway B to Highway 310 remains accessible for those who are not yet comfortable driving on Memorial.
