The Manitowoc Police Department is congratulating one of their own for graduating from a special class.
Police Sergeant Paul Krock was part of an academically rigorous, full-time, 10-week management program through the School of Police Staff and Command (SPSC).
The subjects of study included leadership and management, human resources, employee relations, budget and resource allocation, and media relations, among others.
Krock was required to complete written examinations, deliver presentations, and take quizzes, in addition to conducting a staff study research paper.
He may also be awarded a total of 6 units of undergraduate credit from Northwestern University.
The MPD notes that they expect a variety of benefits from Krock’s participation in the SPSC class.
The class was established in 1983, and approximately 21,000 law enforcement leaders have graduated.
