Attorneys for Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan are once again moving to dismiss federal charges against her, citing judicial immunity.
Dugan is accused of assisting a migrant in evading immigration authorities at a courthouse last month.
In a Thursday filing, her lawyers referenced the recent Supreme Court ruling in Trump v. United States, which expanded presidential immunity.
They argue the precedent should apply similarly to judges, stating, “nothing in Trump’s case suggests that judicial immunity is any less broad than presidential immunity.”
