A Door County man will be spending time in prison for his role in a theft and money laundering case.
81-year-old Dale Pautsch was found guilty due to no contest pleas on nine charges, including seven counts of Theft in a Business Setting and two counts of Money Laundering.
He was in front of Judge Jennifer Moeller, who ordered Pautsch to spend 10 years in prison.
The Door County Sheriff’s Office and Sturgeon Bay Police Department collaborated on the investigation, arresting Pautsch in July of last year.
In total, 23 victims were identified, and more than $1.1 million was said to have been stolen.
Pautsch was also ordered to pay $1.2 million in restitution, a hearing for which was scheduled for November 3rd.
