The Kiel girls soccer team may have outshot Sheboygan Falls by more than double yesterday, but shaky goaltending resulted in a 3-2 loss for the Raiders.
Coach Mike Pritchard reports that the Falcons only had 4 shots on goal, but 3 of them found the back of the net.
On the other side of the field, the Raiders peppered the net with 9 shots, but only Taavi Saeger and Harper Walsdorf could get one past the net minder.
Pritchard put it bluntly, saying, “We couldn’t capitalize on goal-scoring opportunities.”
With the win, the Falcons secured the EWC title while the Raiders fell to 8-3-1, and 2-1-1 in conference play.
Kiel will try to shake it off as they get ready to travel to Oostburg tomorrow night.
