
Several local and area girls’ softball teams begin or continue their trek to what they hope will be a trip to Goodman Field in Madison to participate in the WIAA State Tournament next month.
In Division One regional semi-finals this afternoon (May 27th), Manitowoc Lincoln travels to Slinger to meet the Owls, Sheboygan North is at Beaver Dam, De Pere hosts Green Bay Southwest, Green Bay East/ West visits Ashwaubenon, Freedom hosts West De Pere, Bay Port is at Pulaski, Appleton North heads to Hortonville, Kimberly hosts Appleton West, Appleton East plays at Hartford, Menasha is home for West Bend East, West Bend West hosts Oshkosh West and Oshkosh North travels to Fond Du Lac to play the Cardinals.
Division Two regional semis include Two Rivers at Denmark, Sheboygan Falls/ Kohler travels to Waupun, Plymouth hosts Port Washington, Notre Dame visits Luxemburg-Casco, Fox Valley Lutheran of Appleton heads north to Marinette, Kettle Moraine Lutheran is home for Campbellsport, and Grafton is in Kewaskum to battle The Indians.
Division Three matchups have The Valders Vikings hosting Wrightstown, Kiel heads to Brillion, Kewaunee plays at New Holstein, Southern Door hosts Chilton, Oostburg travels to Sheboygan Lutheran, Xavier of Appleton hosts Tomahawk, North Fond Du Lac travels to Laconia, and Lomira hosts Winnebago Lutheran Academy.
In Division Four, top-seed Mishicot hosts Manitowoc Lutheran, Roncalli heads up to Sevastopol, Reedsville opens in Fond Du Lac against St. Mary’s Springs, Algoma entertains St. Mary Catholic, and Random Lake hosts Cambridge.
Division Five games of interest have Hilbert hosts Palmyra Eagle, Elkhart Lake Glenbeulah travels to Princeton/Green Lake, and Green Bay NEW Lutheran/ Providence Academy hosts The Marion Mustangs. Winners advance to regional finals on Thursday.
