A 21-year-old man is facing charges after fleeing from police on a motorcycle.
An officer was on patrol just before 1:00 Sunday morning (May 25th) when they saw a motorcycle without a registration plate traveling east on Chicago Street.
When the officer attempted to make a traffic stop, the man sped off, blowing through several stop signs along Chicago.
As the biker approached North Lake Street, the man attempted to take the curve, but his rear wheel somehow became damaged.
It was at that point that the bike stopped.
The man cooperated with police, saying he didn’t stop because he had a suspended license.
He was arrested on charges of Fleeing and Eluding an Officer, Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, and was also cited for several traffic violations.
