Being in a Memorial Day parade helped the Wrightstown Fire Department respond quickly to a kayaking incident.
Wrightstown Support 1311 and 1312 were called to the Fox River for a report of two kayakers who had tipped over and needed assistance.
When they arrived, the kayakers had made it to shore with the kayaks still in the water.
Two Wrightstown watercraft and a Wisconsin DNR boat retrieved the kayaks from the water.
No injuries were reported, and no other issues were encountered during the rescue.
