While many people will have a day off from work tomorrow for Memorial Day, it’s important to remember exactly what the holiday is all about: honoring those who died in the line of duty.
There are several events planned around the area, including a couple of parades.
The City of Manitowoc parade will start at the corner of South 8th Street and Washington and will end at the Eternal Flame and Veterans Park, where a ceremony will be held.
The ceremony will also be aired on 1240 WOMT and WOMTRadio.com.
In Two Rivers, activities will begin at 8:30 a.m. in Central Park East with a reading of the honor roll and tolling of the bell, followed by the parade.
A ceremony will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Pioneers Rest.
