The Manitowoc County Historical Society is offering a variety of workshops and activities as part of Father’s Day weekend.
On Friday, June 13th, and Saturday, June 14th, all fathers and father figures receive free general admission. Pinecrest Historical Village will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.
Various workshops will be held throughout the day on Saturday, June 14th.
Times and fees vary by workshop, and advanced registration is required.
Workshops include a Family Baseball Workshop: 10:00 a.m. to noon.
An adult and child pair will work together to cut out, stitch, and craft their own leather baseball to use for play, learn about the historical role of beer, and discover how to make a pale ale using local ingredients sourced from Briess Malting in Manitowoc with the Manty Malter’s Homebrew Club.
Attendees will also get to make a savory treat – oven pretzels.
Items for the Home Blacksmithing will run from noon to 3:00 p.m., where students will have the opportunity to make one of the several projects.
